Professor Rathore discussed about the prominent women like Girija Devi, Krishna Kumari and Savitri Devi who involved themselves in the anti-British activities breaking the norms set for women in the society. As Rajasthan had a dominating purdah system , it was not easy for the women to come out of their designated zones .However the Gandhian ideology saw women and powerful and enduring force ;this acted as a motivating force for the women in Rajasthan who engaged themselves in demonstration of black flags, celebration of Independence Day, flag hoisting and strikes .
