Report on Field Visit to Tilonia(The Barefoot College)
A Field visit to The Barefoot College,tilonia was organised by the Department of Sociology on 24th September,2015.

This organisation is a Non-Government Organisation and works for the marginalised sections of the society. It employs rural people living in the Tilonia village and nearby areas. It gives training to them free of cost and then employs them .They have a wide campus with various departments as Communication, Health, Education and Training Centre. The training centre is of International standard and its main objective is to provide training in making of solar appliances .thereby ensuring resource management. The main Principle is to make Best out of Waste.

The environment inside the organisation was very motivating for all as it provides learning and experimenting without any obstacles .The People employed are also educated free of cost. They are also given minimum basic wages. The visit to the NGO was motivational for the students who want to work for the betterment of poor and needy in society.
