The second semester students of M.A. Sociology and M.S.W went to Gwar Brahman village of Sanganer Tehsil for a field visit to practically understand participatory rural techniques and the issues of rural areas as a part of their curriculum on 31st January,2019. The students interacted with the villagers, did a short survey regarding various issues. Through social mapping, students identified the infrastructural deficiencies and suggested possible solutions for the problems of the villagers. This exercise was quite useful for the students as they got a picture of problems of rural societies and what important role could research play in resolving them
