Objective: 
  • To provide them with an understanding and exposure of the real problems at ground
  • To get hands-on experience of working with an NGO in a particular slum community of the city
  • To help them develop intervention skills while dealing with individual, group and community problems
  • To provide them with the practical understanding of the theory taught in class

 

The student will be working under the close guidance of supervisors from the NGO as well as the university. As part of the entire gamut of activities, this will include observation visits to the agencies, institutions and community settings and further direct practice of social work skills for intervention.
