Objective: 

This course plan intends to enable the students to understand and apply various statistical   techniques in research. This course is designed to prepare students for the role of social science professionals who can acquire and analyze information on social phenomena, and adapt and utilize that information in various tasks.

Unit I: 
  • Sources of Hypothesis testing
  • Chi Square test.
     
Unit II: 
  • Co-relation: Meaning and Features, Rank Co-relation, Product Moment Co-relation.
Unit III: 
  • Analysis of Variance: Technique, One way Classification , Two way Classification.
Unit IV: 
  • Index Numbers: Characteristics ,Types and Methods
Unit V: 
  • Analysis of Time Series: Concept, Components ,Significance
  • Measurement of Trend: Graphic Method, Least square method.
